Since a very young age Saba learned to play a variety of instruments such us guitar, percussion,
bass, piano, synthesizers, sitar, tabla and so on, that lead him to compose music in very
different styles.
His career as a composer and producer started in 2000 when he released 8 albums, evolving
from psychedelic rock to instrumental to electronic music.
In 2005 he founded Nirmalam Music, the first instrumental label in Uruguay that goes from
ethnic, world to electronic.
A few years ago Saba started to produce electronic music, or as he prefers to call it: Fotonic
music. For many years he got rid of computers, controllers, and used only hardware to
produce live sets, where all his influences took part resulting in a unique style, creating a
powerful sound with a tendency to Tribal Techno, where rhythms and harmonies play an
important role.
He played in many underground clubs in Uruguay, Argentina and Germany, and has been an
active participant in WMC, sharing backstage with well known artists like Jaytech & James
Grant, Above and Beyond and the Stanton Warriors. Nowadays he is settled with his
productions and label in Berlin.

Gallardo, Katja Riemann, Nils Wogram, Leon Gurvitch and Paul Brody. With his Quartett (with
Peter Ehwald, Tino Derado and Phil Donkin) he presents in his compositions a new and unusual
approach to Latin Jazz. Sometimes he brings his music closer to Pop and Modern Jazz styles
rather than sticking to traditional Latin Jazz styles, often concentrating on the original, rich
rhythmic aspects of his improvisational approach. Nonetheless, his way of playing is deeply
ankered in the traditional music of Latin America.
